August 2026The food was truly excellent. The chef was very attentive to my allergies, and the fish served generously throughout the course was incredibly fresh and delicious. My server, Sakura, was very kind and did her best to make sure I felt comfortable even though I was dining alone. Thank you to the chef and Sakura for allowing me to have such a wonderful dinner and a great time at Matakichi!

July 2026Visiting this Kaiseki-style restaurant was a good experience. The atmosphere was warm and felt authentic. The chef tried to explain what kind of fish was being served and the cultural significance of each dish in Japanese culture every time a course came out. However, since the chef could not speak English, I could only identify the type of fish and couldn't hear the detailed explanations. Note: We made a reservation in advance and prepaid for the meal before arriving.
