September 2026This is one of the few places in Kyoto where you can taste authentic Edomae sushi. Located in Gion, the restaurant holds one Michelin star. The interior consists of 7 counter seats and 4 table seats, and it was fully booked on the day of my visit. The head chef trained as the top disciple of "Shimizu" in Shinbashi, Tokyo, and this restaurant is also where Chef Miyashita of "Sushimiya Heda" in Yokohama—a place I visit every month—trained. I have been wanting to visit this place for a long time.…
