July 2026If you want to eat yakitori in Tokyo, this is the place. The chef's dishes are creative and perfectly cooked. Three particular recommendations are the small assortment of chicken shoulder, chicken tenderloin (the best part of the chicken back), chicken thigh, and chicken skin; the fantastic 'liver paste' served on toast; and finally, the chicken broth. Honestly, every dish was excellent. Vegetable skewers (we chose sugar peas and shiitake mushrooms) are also served along with three small appetizers (chawanmushi, white asparagus tossed in miso sauce, and chicken with an unidentified green vegetable in yuzu sauce). It was a truly satisfying experience.
