August 2026I visit regularly, and most recently, I was treated to dinner in early June 2026. While Kyoto has many excellent Japanese restaurants, Yamagancha is a special place for me that provides a sense of relief, as if I have returned to my childhood home.

July 2026We used a private room on the second floor for the lunch course. I was impressed, as expected, by the variety of elegant and delicious dishes, and the high-quality service at this popular place. The owner's personality can be felt throughout the store. It's a pleasant space isolated from the hustle and bustle of Gion.
