July 2026I stopped by Mashiki no Kika in Yokogawa. It is an old-style Hiroshima chuka soba, and the saltiness feels just right after drinking. Personally, I would prefer the soup to be hotter and the noodles to be firmer.

They are running lunch not to prevent food waste or limit dining time, but rather to establish their standing as a ramen shop. The soy sauce base of Hiroshima ramen with pork bone is a staple that guarantees satisfaction. As the master operates the shop alone, service might be a little slow when multiple customers arrive simultaneously, but the taste makes up for it. There's no parking available, so using nearby coin parking lots is recommended.
