When we came to Kyoto from New York for a summer vacation with our two college-aged children, staying at Shinmonzen allowed us to enjoy wonderful breakfasts and dinners every day. Coming from New York, we were curious to see how French-Japanese fusion cuisine would be implemented here, and it exceeded our expectations.
