August 2026Meimon, a ramen shop in Toyamacho. A prestigious Chinese-style soba shop known for serving what is called 'Yangtze River Ramen.' The broth looks quite clear, but once you taste it, the chicken flavor is richly concentrated without being overwhelming, making it delicious. The noodles were soft enough to feel slightly overcooked, which paired perfectly with the broth, and every single topping was satisfying. By the way, I feel like I've visited over 100 ramen shops in Japan, so I was pleasantly surprised to see a rotating table, something I usually only see in Chinese restaurants.
