Kameju, a traditional wagashi shop in Asakusa, Tokyo, continues the legacy of Japanese sweets! The dorayaki made here is truly the best. Since the pandemic, there are limits on the number of people allowed inside, so you may have to wait in line, but it's worth it. Takeout is the only option, so grabbing it quickly and going is also a great choice! ๐

It seems better to order a piece you like rather than a set. As it's a standing bar style, you have to eat standing up, but the wait is shorter and the taste is quite good compared to around Tokyo Station. They ask if you want wasabi and it's possible to add more wasabi. They understand English well, which is nice.
One of the memorable and charming places. A small bar and excellent sushi... places that make Japan and Tokyo special.
