September 2026I ordered the 9-piece recommendation set and the 9-piece popular set, and each piece of sushi was quite large. The variety, including tuna, salmon, white fish, and eel, made it great for trying different flavors, and the ingredients were overall very tender. In particular, because they use red vinegar (akazushi) for the rice, the flavor was slightly different from regular sushi and had a great umami depth. The method of applying soy sauce with a brush was also unique, and it was a highly satisfying meal overall.

September 2026It was my first time in Kyoto, and I loved how everything from the music to the atmosphere felt so authentically Kyoto! I had never tried Wagyu tempura before, so I ordered it; it was as juicy as its price suggested, the meat was tender, and it literally melted in my mouth... 🙊🙊 The sushi quality was excellent, and the sake they recommended was wonderful 👍🏻👍🏻 They also serve matcha beer, so definitely try it with your meal!! Since it's near the Kamo River, it's the perfect spot for a meal followed by a stroll 💖...
