September 2026It is a high-end eel restaurant. Hitsumabushi is 5,300 yen (as of August 2026). There are rumors that empty seats mean discrimination, but that's not the case; it's because reservations are mandatory here. It is served in a course format: eel bone broth, chawanmushi (steamed egg), hitsumabushi, and matcha (iced or hot) for dessert. However, I don't understand why they don't serve the broth again when they bring the hitsumabushi. There seems to be a lack of consideration for those who don't speak Japanese or don't know how to eat it. I think this might lead to misunderstandings. To be honest, the taste is the best.
