Sakagura Hatsumago is a truly amazing restaurant! 🍶 The traditional Japanese sake and fresh fish dishes are exceptional, and you'll be completely happy if you go with friends! The atmosphere is cozy, and it's also fun to watch the chef prepare dishes at the counter. Smoking is allowed, and although there is no parking, it's conveniently close to the station, making it easy to get there. You definitely have to check it out!

July 2026A Showa-era izakaya. The sashimi omakase platter is a must-order; I'd give it 4 stars for one person or 7 stars for two. A true masterpiece in Machida!

March 2026The store 'Hatsuson' where Machida's fans gather. The interior is nice but narrow! I used the counter on the first floor, but it's a bit tight between the wall and the seat, so you might brush against it a little as you walk (laughs). But I like that feeling!! On the counter, there are seasonal vegetables displayed that you can choose from to be grilled. The sashimi platter of 3 pieces actually has more than 3 pieces included, and it's fresh and delicious♡. There is also a wide variety of Japanese sake! You can warm the fugu fin sake yourself with a lighter. I managed to fail wonderfully, but it was delicious anyway (laughs). Reservations are essential on weekends in this popular spot! It's a place I want to visit again. There's one restroom, and it's Japanese-style.
