August 2026I had the soba with tempura set and the eel rice bowl on my first day in Nijo, Kyoto, and it was truly delicious. I remember the tempura being especially crispy and really good. I recommend it.

July 2026In the city's largest arcade shopping district, 'Sigol-jeong' is an interesting place. Perhaps due to its name, there is something about the staff's kind service that makes me feel like I'm in the countryside. However, I wonder which part of the food is 'country-style.' To me, it just feels like sophisticated soba. I struggled to find it that day, but after consulting with the staff, I had the soba accompanied by fried pear and vegetables...
