I ordered the basic 8-piece takoyaki with salt (shio). If you order beer, you can receive it in the alley and then go right inside to eat. I ate on the first floor, and most of the customers were locals. I ordered around 1 PM when it wasn't very crowded, but by the time I finished and came out, there was a line. The outside is chewy and the inside is soft/gooey. It doesn't taste like raw flour at all; it's delicious. Watching the locals, they seem to open them up and roll them around a bit before eating. Even though I ate slowly until all 8 pieces were gone, they stayed warm, which was great. I think it would be hard to find this kind of takoyaki in Korea. People who prefer crispy textures might have mixed feelings about it.
